The Ulbster Arms Hotel Is looking for a Sous chef to work within its busy modern kitchen, this position will be an immediate start.
You will be working directly underneath a Head chef and executive Sous.
The successful candidates must have a passion for food and be able to operate calmly and effectively in what sometimes can be a high pressure environment. You will be able to understand how to create and use stock efficiently and effectively and lead the kitchen team when required to do so.
We currently serve a full bar menu alongside a seasonal restaurant menu which changes daily, throughout March – October.
As well as daily menus, we offer a full buffet breakfast (prepared by the breakfast team), daily packed lunches for corporate clients and residents, various special event menus and daily seasonal specials throughout the year.
In return we offer an excellent salary package on a 5 out of 7 day working pattern, make pension contributions and offer 28 paid holidays throughout the year, along with bespoke training and mentoring delivered Willie Pike MBE Masterchef. This includes members of the team working closely with Willie to create dishes for special event evenings and to help create new menus from his base in Ayrshire.
