We are on the banks of the famous River Thurso, in the village of Halkirk, just a few miles off the beaten track of the North Coast 500. The North Coast 500 brings together a route of 516 miles, covering coastal scenery, white sandy beaches, remote fishing villages (like us!) and more.

NC500 - Caithness
Caithness is located on the most north eastern part of the North Coast 500, and serves as the most northern county in Britain to still claim royal connections. The geological features of the Caithness coastline feature soaring sea stacks, raucous colonies of sea birds, and vertically faced headlands jutting out into the wild waters of the Pentland Firth.
