A fantastic stay yet again
A fantastic stay yet again for a short fishing break.||Jess and the team looked after us tremendously well as always, and a special thank you to Holly for sorting out a last minute room for me thanks to a booking error on my part.||Steaks in the bar arrived just as ordered.||Looking forward to returning again soon

Had a great stay
Had a great stay here, staff were very friendly and the rooms are clean and well decorated, all staff are very attentive and I will be back again!! Terri was very informative taking us a tour around the hotel and giving advise on local walks and fun things to do.
Thoroughly Recommend
The best staff who will look after you, great food in the best 4 restaurant , really well furnished rooms with comfortable beds for a great nights sleep. Access to the best salmon fishing in Scotland . A friendly atmosphere and I would thoroughly recommend.
Lovely stay at Ulbster Arms
Lovely stay at Ulbster arms. Room was comfortable, staff were welcoming and the restaurant was great! Exceptional value for money, cannot recommend enough.
The hotel was well located, with ample parking and easy to find. All the staff were lovely and welcoming. It had a nice outside area and lots of lovely common spaces – including a library area and both a reception/lounge and bar. Our triple en-suite room was very clean, beds comfy and excellent value for money. Breakfast was included in the price, and had both a continental and cooked to order options- both of which was great. The evening of our stay we had dinner in the restaurant part of the lounge bar’ (not the Beat 4 restaurant) however the food was still hearty and delicious, the setting was nice and prices were very reasonable. Couldn’t fault it!

Hotel highlights Quiet · Great value
Rooms Very comfortable rooms (although a little small), the bathroom was a little dated and the shower curtain needed changing but it was all very clean.
Walkability Walkable although not suitable for disabled people. Lovely surroundings so great for a walk in nature.
Food and drinks Great food!
Noteworthy details Exceptional value for money, very comfortable rooms and great common areas which were very tastefully decorated. The breakfast was included and very very nice, choice of continental or cooked to order. We ate in the restaurant which was also VERY nice!

Good location. Good facilities and food. Staff very friendly and helpful. I had an issue with my car on our morning of departure and the hotel was helpful and accommodating.
The food and accommodation all were of a very good standard and the staff were excellent.
The breakfast was exceptional. Well-cooked full breakfast. A very good selection of fresh fruit was particularly notable. Service was very efficient and the staff were very friendly and knowledgeable about the local area.
Atmospheric and comfortable with a great breakfast
The library was a very relaxing after-dinner lounge and the smoked haddock breakfast a delight as was our server.
Amazing place to stay if you travel on NC500 by car
Very cosy and spacious rooms with large bathroom and hall. Value for money is one of the best on NC500 – nice stay with breakfast included are less than for a hundred pounds. The hotel also has a bar, a restaurant and lobby & library, where you can rest after trip. The off street parking area is large and very convenient.
