Dog-Friendly Rooms

If you’re looking for dog-friendly accommodation in Scotland, the Ulbster Arms near Thurso is the perfect choice. Dogs are welcome in most of our hotel rooms, and also within designated public areas of the hotel. Choose between our Standard, Dale, Premium and Executive room types. Our wonderful location in the northern Scottish Highlands means plenty of beautiful dog walks are on the doorstep. We also offer dog-friendly drinks and dining in our bar and lounge.

What's included?

Whichever room type you choose, all our hotel rooms feature a private bath or shower room, complimentary toiletries, in-room tea and coffee facilities, a TV, and high-speed Wi-Fi. Every stay includes a full Scottish breakfast with fresh fruit, juice, yoghurt and cereal. We also have a private car park at the rear of the hotel, which is free for guests.

Hotel facilities

All guests can access the great facilities in our main building, including a lounge bar, restaurant, beer garden and library. As a dog-friendly hotel, we allow dogs in most hotel rooms, but please do let us know in advance if you’re planning to bring your pet along. Within hotel public areas, we kindly request that dogs be limited to the bottom of the bar area and the library and lounge spaces.
