And if you’re travelling as a family on the NC500 for your holidays, we have two large Family rooms in the Dale Rooms building. These hotel rooms feature a contemporary design and are perfectly located for exploring Caithness and Sutherland in style! And if you are travelling with your dog, these rooms are pet-friendly too!

Our Dale Rooms offer two luxury family accommodations. Each includes a double bed and a single bed, and all have an ensuite bath or shower room. With convenient parking outside the Dale Building, our family hotel rooms are separate from the main hotel. As a result, they offer more peace and space to play.

Plus, our restaurant caters to all ages, and we sometimes offer discounted family holidays with free dining for kids. Enjoy space, comfort, and a safe, welcoming environment, right on the NC500.

With plenty of things for families to see and do in the area, there is much to explore. Sandy beaches and rock pools along the Caithness coast, Castle of Mey and its beautiful gardens and the Caithness Horizons Museum in Thurso. These all make for a fun and enjoyable day out. Outdoor enthusiasts can take the kids wildlife spotting at Dunnet Head. Walk through the unique Flow Country peatlands, or cycle the quieter Highland roads.
